Two Connecticut universities have been recognized among the world’s top schools by U.S. News & World Report. Yale University ranked eighth globally in the 2026-27 Best Global Universities rankings, while the University of Connecticut placed 312th. The rankings are based largely on academic research performance and worldwide academic reputation.
