An online fundraiser is helping a Danbury family displaced by a fire on Beech Street. Firefighters encountered heavy flames throughout the two-story home and extending into the attic early Monday. Four adults, four children and two dogs escaped, but one resident was taken to Danbury Hospital and one dog was treated for smoke inhalation. The fundraiser had collected more than $4,800. The fire’s cause remains under investigation.
