Danbury is considering new licensing rules for the city’s 22 smoke and vape shops. Mayor Roberto Alves’ proposal would require annual Health Department licenses costing 250 dollars. Shops caught selling illegal cannabis, controlled substances or products to minors could face fines, suspension and eventually loss of their license. The City Council has sent the proposal to committee for review.
