Brookfield Controller resigns
Brookfield Controller Kimberly Siegrist has resigned. She accepted a position as a town treasurer in Westchester County, having previously served as treasurer in Poughkeepsie. Senior Accountant Kevin Gervais, who was hired last month, will serve as interim controller. Earlier this year two finance department employees quit amid claims that Siegrist fostered a “hostile” work environment. First Selectman Steve Dunn denied the allegations. Siegrist took on the role in April 2016 at a time when it was determined that more than 3 million dollars was unaccounted for due to several major accounting errors.
